A lotta sick people, more potatoes and my first full beer

So there was a whole buncha potato pickn
And tons of worms

It got tiring really fast

But we all held out for the most part, some people were sick, some people were "sick" and some people just came straight off and said they werent gonna pick no mo fuckn potatoes.

Ther was gonna be like an "end of harvest" party thing though, so that got us through

Yesterday was the day we actually finishedm off, right before lunch but instead of staying at Nøst for lunch we all went back home and ate the saturday meal which is this like rice porrige stuff (its bland if you dont fix anything on it, but then you toss on some apples, some cinnamon, sugar, all kindsa shit and its pretty good. Its basically oatmeal.)
So after lunch we had the day free all the way to six, when we had to go BACK to Nøst and had this competition thing with multiple events- there where six teams, i was on team five.
There were
I think six events
And the teams rotated between them
The one ku team was at first was this one where you hadda hold a hay bale as long as you could with your arms just horizontal. It was fuckn hard i only got like 30 seconds.
The next one was where you hadda throw an empty aluminum container as far as you could, and i donno it was like a 5 or 6 gallon container or sommn
There was also an extra point awarded if you managed to land it standing up
But none of us got it very far and we didnt get it to land standing so eh
After that one we had like a horeshoes challenge where a hit on the post was one point, hooking it was five and then landing the horeshoe on top was a discussion lol
But yea a couple of us hit a few times
I almost hooked one, but nope
Then we hadda carry as many sticks as possible
My group got like
37 or sommn
These were BIG ASS STICKS
Nthen we hadda straighten as many nauls as possible in two minutes, but really it was who could be the most entertaining coz Joost was bored and also the judge of that event, so we ended up making a human pyramid
The last one was you had to figure out the distinguishing factors between 4 potatoes and 4 types of grain. I knew i couldnt be helpful in that one so i just chilled

So that was the contest, and then it was time for the dinner part of the party.
I sat with Ingrid on my right and Osman on my left.
The table was like REALLY fuckn long coz it had to accomodate like 70 people
We were eating in the second floor of the barn, with like the high ceiling and the big door and ramp on my left with a view across the fjord (it got foggy eventually though, still foggy now)
We ate this stuff called "Rømmegrøt"-yea i donno how to pronounce it either-but its basically yogurt made with sour cream, and you put cinnamon sugar on it
So it was kinna like what we had for lunch except it was

Well it was sourer

Was good though

We also had some deli meat that probly came from an animal at Nøst

Yea so we sang some songs  and cleaned up all the tables and stuff and then it was time for dancing
I knew Ingrid was probly gonna peace out so i kept an eye on her but she stayed
She didnt dance but that okay

So the first dance we did was the same one we did a few weeks ago- the pair based ine where you hafta do whack shit with someone you likely arent very acquainted with.

But yea so i was with this girl named camille, shes danish
Shes nice
Anton ahd us all hold eachothers ears again, then wheelbarrow walking, then one of us had to carry the other, then like
A three legged race typa deal
Its really not so bad

After you get through all the weird stuff you get back into pairs and Anton leads everybody through like
A coordinated line dance, where pairs get paired with pairs, and then the pair-pairs get paired with pair-pairs, so you end up with rows of eight-
And then the rows of eight join end to end and its one big spiraling line that twists inward, and then the inside flips and threads BETWEEN the outer layers.... itd complicate to explain but its real simple

After that dance we did these two like
Circle based dance where everybody links arms and does these cool steps that move the circle around and you hafta sing a song
And you step to the song
Its cool its just some simple coordinated movement but sychronized stepping is really fun coz it makes everybody one and once everybody figured it out you statt to go super fast and beforw you know it youve made a full circle and the song is over

The FINAL dance was basically musical chairs, except with us guys knees
So the girls are the ones actually PLAYING musical chairs, but they hafta sit on one of our knees
That one was fun if you ldont mind having achey knees after (wel i guess it foesnt really matter if your in for like three rounds, but i ended up in like the final 4 sooooooooooo yea)
And of course you have girls sitting on your knees so thats always fun

After that dance it was "kaffe og kake" which is "coffee and cake"
So i grabbed a piece of cake and me, beard lars, ingrid, aron amd cristoffer made a plan to go to a bar and get a single beer.
Thats what me and ingrid had in mind anyway

On the way there Trygg tagged along but he didnt stay for the drink coz he saud alcoholism ran in his gamily so he was just playin it safe, which is understandible.

And i didnt wanna do anything crazy coz id never drank before, AND i didnt have my wallet and wasnt gonna like
Have lars buy me maaaad fuckn booze that i wasnt gonna drink yknow?
So yea lars bought for me, ingrid and Cristoffer at least, i donno about aron-
So we sat outside and chilled with some strangers
I was just there really, obviously i dont speak norwegian so i was just drinking my drink and watching transactions unfold
Occasionally ingrid would turn to me and tell me that the drumk peopel were crazy, that they were really hilarious and behaving QQUITE drunk
One of them could speak english and asked me about VIDEOGAMES of all things- he said he spoke english everyday coz he was always online
And then lars was telling them how i was from new jersey, and he wasnt evwn drunk yet
N i was like "what man? Im from Boston"
So that was about the most excitement

Concerning ME anyway lol

But yea at about 12 or so me and Ingrid left, thanked lars n stuff, yknow the whole "yes rhanks man, see you guys tomorrow"

So me n ingrid walked home and talked abiut how cool the fog looked n she was like "aw man i wish i had my camera" coz apparently she has a cool camera with her thats pretty good that she hasmt taken out since she got here

And we were both planning to sleep in WAYYY late coz today is sunday of course

And we WOULD have except Ingrid had kitchen duty she almost forgot about and the rest of us got woken up ny the fire alarm at 8 30

Yea so we left the building and all that, turns out it was a false alarm of course, and when me and cristoffer got back to our room i was like "hey so you and lars and aron stayed at the bar yea"
N he was like
"Yea... we ended up uhhhh going to a party"
"Wait what?"
"Yea- just eith those peopel we were with"
(Hes talking about the strangers)
"What? Really?"
"Yeaa... Lars got pretty drunk, and he uhm.... ended up falling down."
"O lol is he alright?"
"Uh he fell down like uhh three meters"
"Wait WHAT?" (hes making like this flopping gesture with his hand)
"Yea and there were like rocks. N then he was unconcious for like... ten minutes."
"??????????"
"Yea we called an ambulance, and the cops came."
"???????????????????????"
"And then a helicopter came and flew him to Trondheim."
"Daaaaaaaamn man is he okay?"
"As far as i know hes still ik tromdheim i guess."
"Jeeez man"
"Yea- and then Aron was reeaaaaally drunk"
"What?"
"Yea so i had to walk him home."

Soooo yea

Then we went back to sleep and both slept till like one
Well i slept till like one and then woke up and took a shower, amd he slept till like two
Coz he like

Actually needed it lol

Gård is going back to Oslo for like a week or sommn
