Ahhhhh the first day at fosen

Wheeeeewwwwwwee

Man

Yea like i said i slept till about three in the afternoon listening to AnCo's "Campfire Songs"

It was great

I met my roomate

His name is Cristoffer, hes danish
So he can actually sorta sympathize alittle on the language barrier ordeal, coz even though danish and borwegian are really similar, i guess their not as similar as youd think?

But yea hes real tall hes got square ass shoulders

I met a whole bunch more people thoug, i think just about everybody is here, i think Lars said 69?
Lars is a second year student from germany, learned all the norwegian he knows just from this place
Its cool his name is pronounced "laush"
Irs hard to write down, you hafta imagine the "u" and the "a" as one sound

Anyway we ate food

It was good, it was a brothy soup with meat balls and like
Some kinda beef cubes and a big skinned potato i guess that your just supposed to plop right in the  soup

We sang i think a total of 4 songs during dinner
I sang none of them of course, not knowing the lyrics OR the tune will kinda do that to you

After that though, we all danced
Yea we danced
We danced with eachother
Strangers all of us

Finn its kinda like that arabic thing, the debke or whatever except more partner based

Its to deliberately doscomfort you, and create a sense of mutual discomfort so that the only way to dance is to not care

And so i didnt care

I danced with a girl named Amelia, shes from norway i THINK

The actual dancimg bit of it starts of in a paired congo line sorta

And then you split and make a circle with an inside and an outside

And then the front of the circle goes througg the around the circle, replicating the first pairs movement

Of course you start with something simple, like holding hands

But when the repeating leader of the march is the head faculty dude (shit i forget his name) he makes everybody do some real hardcore ice breaker shit

Like we went around with arms around eachother

You gotta pinch eachothers noses

You gotta link both arms back to back and walk sideways

It was ridiculous, but fun

And it definitely does what its designed for, breaking ice that is

But yea after the whole pair thing we all got into a single file line and basically just ran around

And then they broke us into groups and we did some multilingual name games

And then multilingual pictionary

And then an assload of desert

Cakes and fruits all over the place

And then we talked into the night

And people gradually went to bed

I talked with one kid about soccer, heard my first trump joke (im sure therell be millions to come) talked eoth one guy about rugby, learned about language differences across scadinavia, learned that Fosen is actually the name of a region, learned from one kid (Bendik) that the train from oslo to trondheim SUCKED coz it was packed and him and another kid hadda get forced into paying for high class seats  coz they were the only ones availabel... yea

It was good

And now here i am writing this post

I can hear still the remnants of kids still socializing
Its 1:18 in the morning

I think staying up really late is part of norwegian culture

I should fit right in lol

Im not sure if ill be able to keep up the long winded posts, and it really sucks ass that i cant post photos coz thatd make shit a million times easier
